Davita Lamai, fiancée of Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has revealed that the rapper was too shy to approach her for her phone number when they first met.

Davita made the revelation in a teaser of the couple’s wedding documentary shared recently on their Instagram pages.

According to her, Zlatan had to send someone else to collect her contact details rather than ask for them himself.

“To get my number, he asked somebody,” she said, laughing as she recounted how their relationship began.

“He is very shy. People will not believe him,” she added, as Zlatan laughed and covered his face.

The revelation offers a glimpse into the early days of their relationship, contrasting the singer’s energetic stage persona with the shyness Davita described.

In the documentary teaser, Zlatan also spoke about his feelings for Davita, describing her as “too perfect” and suggesting that meeting her completed a story he believed God was writing in his life.

The clip also featured a brief couple’s quiz in which Davita identified Zlatan as the one who spends more money, while both pointed at each other when asked who was more stubborn. The video ended with the couple praying for their relationship and expressing hope that they would continue to find their way back to God and each other.

Zlatan and Davita, who have two sons, are scheduled to celebrate their wedding on October 24, 2026. The couple announced the date in a pre-wedding video shared on social media earlier in October.
