Nollywood actress and media personality, Nancy Isime, has announced plans to make her debut as an executive producer with her first film.
Isime made this known in a video shared on Instagram, where she expressed excitement and nervousness about taking on the new role.
“This is my first production as executive producer. I can’t lie, I am nervous and wondering if I am ready, but I think it’s about time,” she said.
The actress explained that the move was inspired by her desire to tell her own story after years of bringing stories created by others to life.
“I’ve spent years telling other people’s stories. Now, I’m stepping behind the camera to tell one of my own,” she said.
Isime also promised to take her fans along through the film making process, including the meetings, creative decisions, successes and challenges involved in producing the project.
Her venture into film production builds on her experience as the creator, host and executive producer of The Nancy Isime Show, where she has already been involved in the creative and production process.
Isime began her entertainment career as a model before moving into television and acting. She made her acting debut in the 2011 television series Echoes and has since featured in several Nollywood and Netflix productions.
