Diana Nyeche celebrates Igbo culture in new movie, ‘Keeper of Destiny’

There is perhaps no greater tribute to a people’s culture than immortalizing it on screen. That is exactly what actress and producer Diana Nyeche has done with her upcoming Igbo-language film, “Keeper of Destiny.”

The movie features A-list actor and director Ugezu J. Ugezu, Diana Nyeche herself, child actress Princess Isuochukwu, and other notable talents. It is a reflection of Nyeche’s deep love for the Igbo people and their rich cultural heritage.

Known for her soft-spoken voice, velvety tone, and bold screen presence, Nyeche describes “Keeper of Destiny” as a film deeply rooted in Igbo tradition and values.

The film, directed by Sonchino will soon premiere on her YouTube channel, Diana Nyeche Update TV . It comes months after her project ‘Horny Goddess’ generated significant buzz on YouTube and in box office conversations, a project she calls her “biggest yet.”

With “Keeper of Destiny,” Nyeche says she is redefining her goals as a producer in the Nigerian film industry by telling authentic indigenous stories.

According to her, the film is based on a true-life story. It follows twin sisters who migrate from another world with the ambition to take over a kingdom in Igboland. One twin fails to grow into womanhood due to her wickedness, while the other becomes a terror to the entire community. Their reign, however, does not last, as the unexpected eventually unfolds.

Speaking on her motivation for the project, the actress said: “I love Igbo culture. Igbo culture is one culture that is very unique and adored all over the world.”
