Victoria Volta lends voice to fight against Rape at ‘WARIF No Tolerance March’

Popular actress and girl-child advocate Victoria Volta, formerly known as Victoria Nwogu, has join forces with leading voices at the WARIF No Tolerance March against rape and gender-based violence, lending her voice to a cause she has long championed.
Held under the leadership of renowned advocate and founder of Women At Risk International Foundation (WARIF), Dr. Kemi DaSilva-Ibru, the awareness-driven event brought together influential women committed to safeguarding vulnerable communities and amplifying conversations around sexual violence prevention.

Among notable personalities present were celebrated actress and activist Kate Henshaw, alongside philanthropist and advocate Dr. Awele Elumelu, whose longstanding commitment to women and community development continues to inspire social impact conversations across the country.

For Victoria Volta, the event reflected values she has consistently embraced beyond the spotlight. The actress has steadily used her platform to advocate for girls and underserved communities, particularly through menstrual health awareness and outreach efforts where sanitary pads are distributed to young girls in vulnerable communities.

Speaking on the importance of advocacy, Victoria emphasized that opportunities to stand for the girl child must never be ignored, noting that meaningful change often begins with consistent community engagement and difficult conversations around protection, dignity, and access.

Beyond advocacy, Victoria Volta continues to build her presence in Nollywood through storytelling rooted in social consciousness. She stars in the social-impact film _Ije Awele_, alongside screen icons Onyeka Onwenu and Jidekene Achufusi, a project that reflects themes of humanity, resilience, and social awareness.

Her appearance at the WARIF No Tolerance March signals not only celebrity participation but an ongoing commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and lending visibility to conversations that affect women and girls daily.
